Karen is an accomplished senior level nonprofit leader with over 25 years of fundraising and management experience in healthcare, higher education, foundation and community service organizations. Karen's comprehensive fundraising experience includes major gifts, planned giving, donor development, annual and capital campaigns, corporate giving, grants, grateful patient fundraising, physician giving, special events, peer to peer events, direct mail and marketing. She is a strong relationship builder with donors, volunteer leaders and key stakeholders.

She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE); and also received Major Gifts and Capital Campaign Certifications from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy's Madison Institute at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Karen is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Business Management. She previously held Development Leadership roles at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Barrow Neurological Institute, Banner Health Foundation, Arizona State University, Coastal Carolina University, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, American Diabetes Association and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
